

Saanich Police are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect who allegedly assaulted a 24-year-old woman.
At around 2:30 a.m. on September 6th, a woman was walking towards the beach in the 4500 block of Gordon Point Drive when she says an unknown man assaulted her.

The attacker left her with swelling and bruises to her face and body, before she was able to fight him off, run home, and call police.
Paramedics arrived to treat her injuries and Victim Services provided her with further support.
The assailant is described as a tall man with medium build, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans, and “looked homeless”.
Police have not yet identified the suspect and are currently seeking witnesses or anyone with information.
