TP the Town Victoria is back for their 5th consecutive year, and they’re searching for more volunteers.
The fundraiser is an annual event that aims to collect rolls of toilet paper at locations all across the city, and donates them to families in need.

The charity event has added several new grocery stores to their list of participating collection sites this year and is currently looking for more volunteers to help beat their last year’s record of collecting 120,000 rolls.
New for 2019, TP the Town will also be collecting feminine hygiene products and donating them to the Mustard Seed as well.
Volunteers can sign up by emailing andrew.wilson@prodigygroup.ca or showing up at any of the 22 participating stores on Saturday, October 5th.
Eliminating the choice between food and toilet paper
These stores plan to put their toilet paper on sale throughout the day so shoppers can buy the products at a discount, and then donate it to volunteers stationed at the store entrance.
The goal of TP the Town is to eliminate the ugly choice of “Food vs. Toilet Paper” that families in need so often have to make. According to organizers, some families may go days, if not weeks, without any toilet paper or needed sanitary products.
There will be 5 stations at each participating grocery store where you can buy discounted toilet paper and place it in one of the bins to donate.
At the end of the day, the TP will be collected by Hendra Moving & Storage and dropped off at the Mustard Seed Food Bank where it will be distributed to families and those in need across Greater Victoria over the next 12 months.
