Victoria’s Craigdarroch Castle will be showing classic horror movies throughout October

You know it’s time for fall when classic Victoria Halloween traditions start to come back around!

Starting October 3rd, Craigdarroch Castle will be hosting showings of classic horror movies through the ages every Thursday over the course of the month.

Their lineup features old movies from the early-to-mid 1900’s and kicks off with the 1931 cinematic masterpiece, ‘Dracula’.

October 10th will have audiences enthralled by Dr. Frankenstein’s monster as it wreaks havoc in the countryside after escaping, in ‘Frankenstein’ (1931).

For the third Thursday of October, organizers will be showing the 1959 haunted mansion classic, ‘House on Haunted Hill’.

The final film in the series on October 24th will be the iconic 1922 silent vampire classic, ‘Nosferatu’ featuring the mysterious Count Orlok.

There is no denying the popularity of the annual Classics at Craigdarroch Movie Series, as the event sold out before it even began last year.

Tickets cost $12 for the general public and $10 for members of the Castle Society and are available in advance only at thecastle.ca/pages/events , by calling 250-592-5323 or visiting the Castle at 1050 Joan Crescent.
