Holiday cheer won’t be hard to come by next month!
Cineplex will be showing free Christmas movies at participating theatres across Canada, including three in Victoria.
Cineplex Odeon downtown Victoria, Westshore, and SilverCity at Tillicum, will all be offering a selection of five free holiday films on Saturday, December 7th.

These Christmas classics will be on air between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., and include:
- A Christmas Story
- Elf
- Gremlins
- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
- The Polar Express
While no tickets are required to see these films, all concessions proceeds and any donations will go toward supporting the Boys and Girls Club of Canada.
Concessions themselves will also be discounted for the duration of the event, with popular movie snacks like popcorn, soft drinks, and select candy on sale for just $2.50 each.
“We have a long history at Cineplex of giving back to our local communities and have proudly contributed millions of dollars to non-profit organizations across the country,” said Ellis Jacob, President and CEO, Cineplex.
“This year, we are excited to host our ninth annual Community Day fundraiser in support of Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada and their work in creating opportunities for children and youth across the country to connect, learn, play and have fun.”
In addition to this annual free movie event, Cineplex continues to offer $2.99 movies for all viewers at participating theatres on Saturdays throughout November 2019, as well as on December 14th.
However in Greater Victoria, this deal is only available at the Westshore Odeon Theatre.
