One of Duncan’s local grocery staples has moved into Oak Bay’s Estevan Village and will open its doors to the public at the beginning of December 2019.
The Old Farm Market will be opening in the former Oak Bay Food Forum location after a major facelift.
The space was purchased by Lorne Campbell, owner of the Old Farm Market, in August 2019 and locals are anticipating the grand opening of the new market in the coming weeks.

If you’ve been through Duncan, you’ve most likely visited this funky roadside attraction or seen the “red rooster” display on top of The Old Farm Market with the motto “The Home of Local Produce”.
The Duncan location offers many conveniences under one roof including a bustling deli, local fruits and vegetables, a gift shop, an ice cream shop, a garden store and more.
The Oak Bay location will be an extension of the Duncan store but feature a smaller boutique-style market. It will include an indoor/outdoor market with an open-air section in the front of the store for fresh produce.
The piece de resistance is their impressive deli department with a variety of delicious food options, primarily for takeout. They will have soups, rotisserie chicken, prepared salads, meats, cheeses and more. The store itself will carry daily provisions from BC and beyond like milk, eggs, butter, and various baked goods.
The focus of the market will be on local, fresh produce whenever seasonally available at a reasonable price. In addition, they will also offer a selection of organic produce.

It’s the perfect place to stop in if your cruising along Cadboro Bay Road or heading to Willows Beach for a stroll or picnic.
Located in Willow’s Plaza, this store is neighbouring Liquor Plus, Slaters Meats and only a hop, skip and jump from the local favourite Pure Vanilla Bakery and Cafe.
Campbell is excited to open this new location in Victoria. “I chose the Oak Bay location because it was close to home, I felt it would be a great addition to the vibrant and densely populated area,” he told Victoria Buzz.
Although the new location is almost fully staffed, job applications are currently being accepted for various positions in the store. For additional information contact csteel@theoldfarm.ca.
