It’s time to spread some holiday cheer – in the best way possible!
The B.C. Children’s Hospital Festival of Trees is back for its 28th year at The Bay Centre, and it’s bigger and brighter than ever before.
A record-breaking 91 local businesses and organizations have their decorated Christmas trees displayed throughout the mall this year, in a magnificent showing of holiday spirit.
Raising funds for the B.C. Children’s Hospital
Each one of these trees hopes to win the coveted “People’s Choice” Award, and this is where YOU can help! All you have to do is cast your vote for your favourite tree with a donation to the B.C. Children’s Hospital.
Donating is easy – there are voting stations placed in front of each tree AND you can even text a particular tree number to 45678. For example, our Victoria Buzz tree is #39, so if you’d like to vote for ours, you would text “TREE039” to the number 45678 and follow the three-step prompting for your vote to be complete.
This year, the Bay Centre is even taking the season of giving a step further – they have promised to match each text to vote donation up to a whopping $15,000 – in hopes that B.C Children’s Hospital will far surpass its record of donations from last year.
Last year, Festival of Trees events in Victoria, Vancouver, and communities around the province raised $387,659 to provide kids across our province with the best health care imaginable.
The Festival of Trees officially kicked off today, November 21st and will run until January 6th, 2020.
