The oceanfront property on the border of Metchosin and Sooke, overlooks the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the Olympic Mountains, allowing both ocean and mountain views with exclusive privacy.

Located at 5179 East Sooke Road, the property includes a 5,672 square-foot custom smart home, a separate 882 square-foot guesthouse, and a 1,214 square-foot garage and workshop.

The home was custom designed by award winning Keith Baker and constructed by Christopher Developments in 2015.

Baker’s team, inspired by West Coast architecture, focussed on designing energy efficient homes using natural materials, with the goal of designing homes that are well integrated into their surroundings.

“The sale of this extraordinary estate reflects enduring demand for luxury real estate in the Greater Victoria area,” says Glynis MacLeod, co-listing agent with Sotheby’s International Realty Canada.

Located on 500 metres of coastline in Becher Bay, this luxurious property also features a private beach and 47 foot dock which allows easy access to sailing, kayaking and fishing in one of the most coveted sports fishing grounds on the West Coast.

The property received both Canadian and international interest during its time on the market and was eventually purchased by an Ontario buyer.
