Victoria Police are looking for witnesses after an arson at the Customs House construction site left it with extensive damage.

At around 1 a.m. on Thursday November 7th, a fire was reported at the construction site for the Customs House building at 816 Government Street.

Victoria Fire crews were able to put out the blaze and while there were no reported injuries, police say damage to the equipment on site has the potential to cost tens of thousands of dollars.

VicPD and Victoria Fire officials have determined that the fire was set deliberately, and are now seeking witnesses to the incident.
