As one Victoria tradition leaves, another returns!
The Copper Owl, a mainstay among Victoria’s indie music scene, will close its doors in January and is celebrating with a farewell party tonight.
But it’s not all bad news — Sean Drabbitt’s Charlie Brown Christmas music night returns to Hermann’s, one of the best family nights you can have this holiday season.

Copper Owl Farewell
One of Victoria’s most beloved institutions is changing ownership at the beginning of January, so the Copper Owl is holding one last holiday party to satisfy anyone who sang, listened, or danced there over the venue’s lifetime.
Go and say hello before they say goodbye!

Charlie Brown Christmas at Hermann’s
In our opinion, Christmas really isn’t happening until you’ve listened to the entirety of the Charlie Brown Christmas album. Luckily, renowned double-bassist Sean Drabbitt is once again assembling a world-class team of musicians to bring live music to Hermann’s Jazz Club.
There are 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. performances on December 19th and 20th, and the club is open to all who want to listen!

Category 12 Anniversary Party
Your favourite Victoria brewery is throwing a birthday party! Category 12 turns 5 this year, and they’re celebrating with a boozy bash. With an expanded taproom, new kitchen, and two new beers — the fruit-infused Juicy Data and a Excitation Shaft Cocktail — this is the best 5th birthday party you’ll ever attend.
