Christmas Movie Night at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel

What better way to watch “Love Actually” than at the picturesque Oak Bay Beach Hotel with a three-course-meal and a candy bar? Part of a Christmas Movie Night series (“Elf” and “Home Alone” are the next featured films), this is the perfect way to swoon over one of the most beloved Christmas movies of all time.

Book Warming Night at Russell Books

Drink hot apple cider and listen to some of the best authors Victoria has to offer as Russell Books hosts a “Book Warming Night” to celebrate their move to a new location!

Authors Jack Knox, Briony Penn, and Anny Scoones will read excerpts from their books while attendees can get cozy among the thousands of books in Canada’s largest independent bookstore.

Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church 

The holiday season is nothing without music, so head down to James Bay United Church to enjoy some accessible and festive jazz! Featuring some of Victoria’s most talented musicians and open to anyone (suggested donation is $10), this is a great way to enjoy some holiday classics in a fantastic and jazzy style.

Artists with Disabilities Showcase

Held in conjunction with the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3), this showcase runs all week and features a spectacular and diverse array of art, artists, and musicians. Admission is free, so anybody can stop by to appreciate the wonderful works on display.

Dinner and Drag at the Mint

If you’re in the mood for something more raucous than your typical holiday fare, the Mint’s Dinner and Drag show is the perfect place for you. With food, drink, and performers galore, this all-ages show is sure to be an outrageously good time.
