Opening day is finally here!
Mount Washington Alpine Resort has announced that they will be opening several terrains for use starting Friday, December 20th.
Patrons can grab their skis, snowboards, and toboggans and head for the hills as early as 9 a.m. on Friday until 9 p.m., with night skiing in effect.
Routes opening tomorrow include Coaster, the Easy Acres zone as well as the Tube Park and limited Nordic operations, with more terrain to open as snow conditions allow.
The resort is kicking off this opening with a celebration at Ted’s Bar and Grill featuring beverages from Vancouver Island Brewing, live music, and prizes starting at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
Mount Washington received a generous snow blanket of 32 centimetres last week, which helped them predict and announce an opening date this week.
