Roads are closed at Estevan and Hamiota in Oak Bay after a car crash that left one pedestrian in serious condition.
Oak Bay Police say the pedestrian suffered a head injury after being hit by a vehicle.
The driver of the car was shaken up after the accident and stayed on the scene to cooperate with police, said Deputy Ray Bernoties,
In a tweet, Oak Bay Police confirmed the pedestrian was taken to hospital with an apparent head injury, but was conscious and breathing.

Bernoties tells Victoria Buzz that the cause of the accident is difficult to ascertain so far, but officers are likely able to rule out any potential weather factors.
Traffic can flow through Estevan and Musgrave to avoid the scene of the collision. Estevan and Hamiota is expected to be closed for several hours.
