Investigators believe the two groups were walking on Goldstream Ave between Peatt Rd and Matson Rd, and crossed paths between the hours of 8 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

In an update on Monday, West Shore RCMP have released two surveillance videos, each of which depicts one of the two groups involved in the altercation.

They have also provided descriptions of each of the individuals shown in the videos, all of whom are male and aged between 16 and 23 years:

  • two of the young men were wearing all black clothing
  • one teenager was wearing a black full sleeve shirt with blue shorts and white sneakers.
  • one of them was wearing a red tee-shirt with white writing on it, and dark coloured shorts, and had dyed blonde hair.
  • the last person was wearing a full sleeve dark grey/green shirt with an outline of a white box on the chest, black shorts with white stripes, and white sneakers.

“We are releasing this video in hopes that members from the public can help us identify the youth in the video. Investigators are looking to identify and speak to youth to determine their involvement in this investigation,” said Cst. Nancy Saggar in a statement.

The first of the two videos depicts the group of five young men walking toward the water fountain located on Goldstream Ave at 866 Strathmore Ave in Langford.

The second shows the same group of people walking through a parking lot.
