Vancouver Island’s loudest and largest parade takes place this weekend, as the IEOA Truck Light Convoy and Food Drive rolls its way from Ogden Point to the Western Speedway this weekend!

The convoy features dozens of commercial trucks from the Island Equipment Owners Association (IEOA), all decked out in thousands of sparkling Christmas lights.

The association represents 173 companies including civil contractors, equipment suppliers, and operators and industry related dealer/suppliers on southern Vancouver Island.

This event on Saturday, December 7th marks the 21st iteration of the annual convoy, dedicated to collecting non-perishable food for local food banks. Over the past 20 years, the IEOA has collected over 160,000 lbs of food for those in need.

There are a large number of places to donate non-perishable food items in the days leading up to the convoy at any of the locations, all listed on the IEOA’s website here. Donation locations have changed from previous years, so make sure to double check where you’re dropping off your food!

Cash donations are also welcome — click here to see the closest place to you that accepts them.

If you can’t make it down to the event, make sure to check the Victoria Buzz Facebook page for a premiere video of the whole show.
