A three-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of the Pat Bay Highway has snarled traffic.
The collision occurred just after noon on Monday near Haliburton Road, causing major traffic delays.
According to Saanich Police, the crash involved two vehicles. It’s unclear if a semi-truck was involved, as was first reported.
Emergency crews including police, fire, and paramedics are on site.
One person was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
Saanich Police posted a tweet at around 1:10 p.m. stating that northbound traffic had been reduced to one lane. Crash scene analysts have been called to the scene.
Avoid the area if possible.
