The annual WestJet Christmas video has just been released, and it features a wholesome new theme.
This year’s traditional video opens with individual families in Toronto entering a house-sized blue Santa hat – sporting WestJet colours – where they were greeted by a holographic blue Santa and his counterpart, Ebeniza Scrooge.

Each family is then presented with a huge Christmas gift – like a $2,500 WestJet gift card or a beach vacation or a trip to Rome – and then given the choice of whether to keep it, or donate it to the families at the Ronald McDonald House.
The Ronald McDonald House is a non-profit organization that provides accommodation for families so they can be close to their seriously ill children while they are undergoing treatment.
“The conversation around giving and receiving is a powerful one and this year’s video finds inspiration in both sides of the story,” said Richard Bartrem, WestJet Vice-President Marketing Communications.
“The authentic reactions and emotions made possible through these acts make this year’s Christmas Miracle truly heartwarming.”
The video was filmed at a market in Toronto, and showcases some truly touching moments.
