The Victoria Buzz team stopped by Stretch Collective for a visit and had our butts kicked in the best way possible. Their classes are just the right balance of challenging and fun and left us inspired, but also feeling the burn the next day.  

We had a blast and know you will too, so we teamed up with them to give away a FREE UNLIMITED MONTH at Stretch Collective for one lucky follower AND their bestie! Contest details are below. 

Let’s get down to business

One of the things we liked most about Stretch Collective is that they’re inclusive, meaning no matter your age, ability, injury, illness, gender, body size, sex, weight, height, ethnicity.. they welcome everyone and you’ll feel comfortable there.

Also, you’ll notice that you’re strong enough at ANY fitness level to attend their classes.  Whether you’re healing from an injury, surgery or have been consistently training and feeling at the top of your game, they offer challenging training for all skill levels to help each client reach their individual fitness goals. 

Take a look at their impressive full lineup of classes offered:

1. Reformer Pilates 

Reformer Pilates is at the top of our list!

The classes are small enough in size to ensure you receive exceptional instruction, intelligent sequencing, and personalized feedback in every class. Their state of the art reformers use spring resistance, infinity footbars and specialized props for targeted strengthening, stretching, and to maximize your body’s potential… and they’re seriously fun.  You’ll almost forget you’re exercising – we promise.  

Class is suitable for all levels and exercise modifications are available.

2. Reformer Jumpboard Pilates

This high energy, calorie-scorching, sweat-inducing exercise will get you moving! This class uses a padded Jumpboard at the end of their Allegro 2 Reformers – almost like how you’d use a trampoline, so definitely a good time! 

They use intervals of jumping broken up with regular Reformer exercises, to create a well-balanced, engaging workout. Using the Jumpboard creates impact, leg-burning, core strengthening, and heart-pumping sequences.

Appropriate for intermediate and advanced fitness levels. Not suitable for acute ankle, knee, or back injuries.

3. Springboard Pilates 

Stretch is the only place on the Island with Springboard Pilates equipment! This class uses a wall-mounted Springboard apparatus and elements of the Pilates mat for an amazing full-body workout with resistance. 

This class uses a range of spring tensions to tone muscles and challenge core stability, and springs move individually, instead of as a pair. The separate springs emphasize asymmetries, all while you challenge your extremities independently – and the springboard creates so many different movement combinations that will most definitely challenge both newbies and seasoned Pilates veterans alike. 

This class is great for mixing up your exercise routine to try something new. Learn a little more about your body and feel stronger after every Pilates Spring class you take!

4. Barre

Not-going to lie – we secretly dreamed of being in The Nutcracker after Barre class.  

Barre is one of the most popular classes everyone’s talking about right now and there’s serious reason for it.  Muscle-sculpting, cardio and posture alignment all in one fun, upbeat class makes for a full dancer-in-training experience without the tutus and your stage-mom recording it.  

You’ll never believe how heavy a 1lb weight can be until you try a Barre class!  Not to worry though, their instructors are great for encouraging you to lift that heavy 1lb-er when your arm starts whining like a 3 year old at bedtime. You’re stronger than you think you are! 

Great for all levels, not recommended for those with acute knee or back injuries.

5. Get your train on!

On top of their extensive classes, Stretch Collective also offers instructor certification classes including Yoga, Pilates and Barre Teacher training.  Increase your skills, knowledge and confidence to teach your own classes and inspire your clients to be their strongest selves!
