UPDATE: According to a police update at 4:14 p.m., one person has been taken into custody as a result of the investigation and after heavy police presence on Tillicum Road Friday afternoon.
No details about the nature of the investigation or arrest have been released.
Earlier: Multiple police crews are attending the 1000-block of Tillicum Road for an investigation.
Sources in the area tell Victoria Buzz that Greater Victoria Emergency Response Teams are also on site.
According to a tweet at around 3 p.m. Friday afternoon, a section of the road has been closed to traffic as authorities converge “for an operation in support of an investigation”.
No details about the investigation have been revealed at this time.
Victoria Police say there is no immediate danger to the public at this time, however traffic is being disrupted as a result of the investigation.
