West Shore RCMP have arrested a man who was naked, for attempting to break into several homes in Colwood.
At around 4:40 a.m. on Saturday January 25th, police arrived in the 3300 block of Mary Anne Crescent in Colwood to find the man running down the street naked and “displaying highly agitated and aggressive behaviour”.
After investigating, officers found that he had knocked loudly on the doors of at least four homes, waking up the residents inside.
The suspect had also successfully broken the front door glass panels of two of the houses and managed to enter one of them.
He then walked around inside the house for a short time before leaving.
“The suspect became violent with police when informed they were under arrest,” said Cst. Nancy Saggar.
“He was arrested for break and enter, uttering threats and assaulting a police officer. Luckily no residents were injured and our officers were also unharmed.”
The suspect was taken to hospital after sustaining injuries from the broken glass. Police believe he was under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
Officers are continuing their investigation into this incident.
