Nanaimo man wanted for assaulting, threatening to stab business employee

Nanaimo RCMP are searching for a man who allegedly assaulted and threatened to stab an employee at a local business.

At around 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 11th, the 26-year-old employee confronted the suspect for allegedly stealing two speakers, valued at $1,500.

The suspect then punched the employee several times before threatening to stab him with a knife that he said he had in his pocket.

He is described as a Caucasian man in his late 30s with greying brown hair, and at the time of the incident, was wearing a large khaki sweater and blue jeans.
