That’s a wrap on the 28th Annual Festival of Trees Victoria!

And what a celebration it was, as this year’s event raised a record-breaking $203,647 for BC Children’s Hospital – making it the largest total in the event’s history.

Thanks to the tree sponsors and festival donors this holiday season, donations will help provide the best care imaginable for kids across the province – including the 3,300 kids from Vancouver Island who visit BC Children’s Hospital each year.

Many of these children receive specialized care they can’t get anywhere else, and money raised will also allow BCCH to purchase a brand new state-of-the-art ECG machine for their Heart Centre at the hospital.

Every vote equaled a donation, and here are this year’s winners and honourable mentions as voted by the public:

People’s Choice Award Winners

1. Remy’s Tree
2. Glenlyon Norfolk School
3. Dansko Studios

Honorable mention to: Starfish Medical and Island Blue Print

Spirit of Giving Award Winners

1. Innov8 Digital Solutions
2. Victoria Residential Builders Association
3. Remy’s Tree

Honorable mention to: Used.ca and Island Kids Academy

Festival of Trees is a Victorian community tradition and officially kicks off the holiday season each year, having done so for the past 28 consecutive years.

Local businesses, sponsors, organizations and individuals some together each year, working to transform the Bay Centre into a village of beautifully decorated trees to raise funds for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
