Victoria’s weather problems on the Malahat are persisting, even without snow!
Now, DriveBC are warning drivers heading over the highway to be cautious of extreme fog.
The #malahat is fogged in at several parts of the drive before and after the #summit – #drive with care, lights on. Reduce speed ⚠️@DriveBC webcams do show clearing after you pass the mountain@TranBC @malahatdrive @yyjtraffic @WestshoreRCMP @RoadSafetyCWoo pic.twitter.com/q3RvYkEtb4

In a tweet made on January 28th, Emcon Services — a road and bridge maintenance contractor for South Vancouver Island — made a note of the conditions, with a photo from a Drive BC webcam.
The fog is so thick that you can barely see the road at all in the photo, taken from the webcam at Okotoks Drive.
Emcon and Drive BC recommend that drivers slow down in order to navigate the conditions.
