One Nanaimo resident received some “cool” news this week – and now has big plans in mind.

Curtis Wright matched all ten numbers in the Lotto 6/49’s February 15th draw and won himself $1 Million in the Guaranteed Prize draw.

While most winners splurge on a car or vacation, Wright plans to purchase a top-of-the-line refrigerator.

“I have it all picked out, it’s a $16,000 fridge that I’ve wanted for a while,” says Wright, who bought the ticket at the Esso convenience store located on Uplands Drive and Rutherford Road in Nanaimo.

Wright plays the lottery at least once a month but was motivated to buy a ticket for the February 15th draw when he found out it was the Lotto 6/49 SuperDraw with its guaranteed prizes.

“I saw the ad for the Super Draw with the ‘OMG’ campaign on Saturday, a half-hour before the draw,” he said.

“I went out and bought the ticket about ten or 15 minutes before the draw.”

Wright said he plans to put the rest of his money into savings.
