It’s officially the first weekend of March, can you believe it?

With spring on the horizon (we hope) and cherry blossoms already blooming, there’s a whole bucket list of things to do and to see this weekend in Victoria – all you have to do is read ahead and pick your favourites!

Victoria Royals vs. Vancouver Giants

The Royals are back home to face the Giants in the midst of of their 3 games in 3 days, and they’ve also partnered with Canadian Mental Health Association – BC Division (CMHA) for a mental health awareness game.

Coastal Scots Scottish Studies Symposium

You are invited to “Coastal Scots,” a day-long exploration of the lives and experiences of Scottish peoples in the coastal regions of Britain and North America, underlining the ways in which the physical environments and cultural geographies of littoral zones shaped the history of Scottish communities over the past three hundred years.

Ladies Learning Code: HTML & CSS for Beginners

If you are looking to get your feet wet when it comes to programming, then this is the workshop for you. HTML and CSS are the backbone of all websites, and knowledge of them is a necessity if you are interested in things like web development, creating marketing emails, or even blogging! The web without HTML and CSS would be would be a world without colourful, pretty websites, not to mention the web applications we all use daily. It’s easy to learn, and was designed so that everyone – even non-programmers – can do it. No fancy programs are needed, just a text editor and a web browser!

Victoria Seed Library – Seed Swaps

Drop in seed swap table with seeds for sharing and information about growing and saving seeds. Sign out the varieties that interest you, and then return seeds from your healthiest or tastiest crops to share with others.

Chinatown Walks Historical Walking Tours

A 90-minute historical walking tour through Canada’s oldest Chinatown, including a visit to the Chinese temple and a stop for a traditional Chinese treat. Find out how the Chinese celebrate the Dong Zhi festival to mark the winter solstice.

Heartless’ mission is to raise proceeds and sponsorship for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Masquerade Ball 2020

Flow Jam Party #2 in Victoria

Super Smash Bros. Esports Tournament

Esports Victoria in partnership with Vancouver Island Smash Club and Victoria Smash Club is organizing a Super Smash Ultimate and Melee Tournament on March 1, 2020 at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, Victoria, BC. Please bring setups.  Participants in the tournament will also receive a ticket at registration to spectate the hockey game.
Battle your way to the finals to get a chance to display your match on the giant jumbo tron. Finalist may also win a cash or item prize.

Victoria Royals vs. Vancouver Giants & Skate with the Players

The Royals’ famed Skate with the Players is back! Immediately following the game, you can lace up and hit the ice with the entire team for one of fans most favourite traditions. The skate lasts around 45 minutes, and skate rentals are available.

Wounded Warrior 

Come cheer on the Wounded Warrior runners as they finish the last of the run that started all the way up in Port Hardy on February 23rd.
