West Shore RCMP have arrested 29-year-old Kevin Parsons on several charges related to drug trafficking.
During the course of a drug trafficking investigation, the RCMP Drug and Organized Crime Unit executed four search warrants in the West Shore region on February 18th.
Covert surveillance led officers to suspect that a man was trafficking drugs out of an apartment in View Royal.
The man, identified as 29-year-old Kevin Parsons, was arrested and police executed search warrants at the View Royal apartment, at a townhouse Central Saanich, and on two vehicles.
Their searches led to the recovery of cash and a variety of illicit drugs including Methamphetamine, Ketamine, Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD), Cocaine, Xanax, and Psilocybin (Magic Mushrooms).
“This is a job well done by our Drugs and Organized Crime Unit here at the West Shore RCMP,” said Staff Sergeant Raj Sandhu.
“Drug enforcement is a key priority in keeping our communities safe and we will continue to bolster our efforts in this area.”
The suspect, Parsons, has been charged with 5 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking.
Before this arrest, he was known to police and was already facing a number of charges including 12 counts of drug trafficking and 5 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
