Whether it’s attending the Island’s largest tech expo or taking in some seriously sweet tunes, check out a few of these spectacular events that will surely keep you entertained this Friday-eve.

PechaKucha Night Victoria VOL. 19

A fashion line created from repurposed materials, community entrepreneurialism, becoming an “overnight success” in 69 years, the art of typography, exploring health in movement, using Improv in daily life, capturing people’s story through portraiture, inventing a one-of-a-kind electric bike and…..hear from an installation artist + photographer, a reluctant but capable Arts Curator and a multi-disciplinary artist and cultural tattoo practitioner that works with hand poke + skin stitching!

Discover Tectoria 2020

Discover Tectoria is a FREE to attend exposition of more than 75 Greater Victoria tech companies, research projects, interactive displays and community partners – all under one roof!
Attendees get to interact with innovators and their creations to better understand who and what is driving Victoria’s largest industry. Whether you want to inspire youth to stay in math and science, research co-op and job opportunities or attend some of the talks, this event can keep everyone busy, all day!

Self Care Workshop

Prioritizing care of ourselves can be so important so that we are able to participate in and feel strong in our wider communities.
In this compact workshop, participants will: Learn about the importance of self-care/community care. Have an opportunity to communicate their experience and need for self-care with others with similar experiences. Develop awareness about the many forms self-care can come in (beyond the bubble bath). Have access to tools to better understand what self-care looks like for them
