Café Scientifique: Next Generation Wound Dressing

Join them to hear Brent Godau, R&D Analyst at 4M BioTech, discuss: Next Generation Wound Dressings for Connected Health. 4M BioTech is a Victoria health technology start-up company who’s first product in development is a bandage that detects wound infection and promotes healing. This Café will discuss this project and the research behind it.

Schwey live at Lucky Bar

Schwey is a Vancouver band created out of necessity by Jacob Schwinghammer and Isaiah Dobbs. In its formative years, underground DIY venues were the only option for underage people to have a good time. The band crafted their soulful sound in the diverse yet unified underground scene, having to compete with the high energy of punk bands and clarity of rappers and DJs.

Dinner & A Drag Show XII

Chaz Avery and Stevie O’Brian return to The Mint Victoria on Tuesday, February 18, with another cast of incredible #yyjdrag performers for the twelfth installment of Dinner & A Drag Show! Enjoy an amazing drag show with the high calibre talent that you’ve come to expect from the #yyjdrag fam, PLUS The Mint’s delicious food and drinks!

Maude Hunter’s Trivia Night

With a plethora of craft beers on tap and multiple pints on special each night, it only makes sense to bring together this awesome pub with Sixty Watt Trivia’s one of a kind trivia night! Four Rounds of Random Trivia for all skill levels (movies, music, sports, geography, things found at 7-11, they mix it up). Teams of 8 max can join forces as 1. Teams of 3 or less start each round with a BONUS point.

Prizes awarded each round to the team with the highest score!

Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church

James Bay United Church and the Victoria Jazz Community have partnered together to created an accessible music venue that you can walk to right in your neighbourhood. With the help of local jazz legend Kelby MacNayr, they’re bringing some of the best of the best in the Victoria jazz scene to the heart of James Bay – venue without distractions – where the focus is you, the music and the sacred space to listen.

  • Where:  James Bay United Church, 511 Michigan Street
  • When: 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
  • Cost: A suggested donation of $10 (as you are able) will be taken at the door.
