UPDATE: Ashley Sheppard was found safe and sound on March 2nd, according to RCMP.
Earlier: Nanaimo RCMP are seeking public assistance in their search for missing Ashley Sheppard.
The 31-year-old woman has not been seen or heard from since Monday, February 10th.
According to RCMP, Sheppard had been staying with a friend for the past eight months and had not indicated that she was planning to leave.
She was also dealing with some significant personal issues over the past year which led friends and family to become extremely worried about her well being.
Sheppard’s phone has been turned off since February 10th and she did not take any clothes with her when she left.
She is described as a white woman standing 5′ 4″ tall, weighing 130 lbs and has brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about her location is asked to contact Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
