Police looking to identify suspect who brandished firearm and robbed Langford liquor store

In a second case of armed liquor store robbery this week, West Shore RCMP are searching for a suspect who committed a crime similar to one in Saanich on Wednesday night.

At around 4:20 p.m. on Monday, February 17th, police attended the Liquor Depot at 2835 Bryn Maur Rd for reports of an armed robbery.

During their investigation, police learned that the suspect entered the store, brandished a

firearm, and demanded money from the employee. He then took an amount of cash from the store and left.

The suspect is described as a slim man standing between 6′ to 6’4″ tall, and at the time of the incident was wearing a red hoodie with a white zipper, baggy pants and covering the lower half of his face with mask.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or knows who it could be is asked to contact West Shore RCMP Serious Crimes Unit at 250-474-2264 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477.

The public is advised not to approach this suspect.
