RCMP identify suspect captured on surveillance using a stolen credit card in Colwood

West Shore RCMP have identified a man who is suspected of committing credit card fraud in Colwood.

In a statement on Monday, police say the credit card fraud took place at the Petro Canada Gas Station at 1879 Island Highway at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th.

Video surveillance released by the RCMP shows a man using a stolen credit card to purchase Visa prepaid credit cards.

According to police, there were additional fraudulent credit card transactions using the same stolen credit card at other retail locations.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man between the ages of 30 to 40 years old with an average build.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a grey Vancouver Canucks cap, a black hoodie, black pants and black shoes and had a black bag.
