5 things to do in and around Victoria today, Friday March 6th

Share

It’s Friday, and spring is in the air (or at least it feels like it!)

To celebrate all this sunshine-y weather, there are vintage spring fairs to attend, live music and even the official kick-off of Victoria Beer Week!

10th Annual Vintage Spring Fair

Our theme for this year’s show is Easter Parade, which means our wonderful vendors are bringing a small selection of vintage items for sale in this theme, along with their usual trove of treasures. And you’ll enjoy decorative vintage Easter touches throughout the fair — think vintage bunnies, chicks, eggs, and more!

  • Where: Da Vinci Centre, 195 Bay Street
  • When: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Cost: $5 – $10

Beginner Soap Making Workshop

Whether you are interested in making soap for fun and gifting, as a new hobby, or help to launch your own soap making business at a local market, you’ll find everything you need right here!

  • Where: The Good Planet Company, 764 Fort Street
  • When: 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Cost: $59

The Nick La Riviere Band

A show with The Nick La Riviere Band is like taking a trip down to modern New Orleans, where the music is loud and proud, with brass adding funky lines to each groove and every song is played with soul and power. The music is all about having a good time and moving your feet. It’s a night on the town that will leave you wired.

  • Where: Hermann’s Jazz Club Inc., 753 View Street
  • When: 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $25

FOXY FEST 2020: Victoria

Foxy Box Wax Bar presents our second annual FOXY FEST, a fundraising night in celebration of International Women’s Day and incredible local talent! An evening of music, dance, spoken word, and drag, with all proceeds from the event going directly to Bridges for Women Society!
