Pinkies up!

Victoria’s annual celebration of all things tea is coming back for its fifth year to downtown Victoria, inside Nootka Court.

All tea enthusiasts – and anyone with good taste, really – are invited to International Tea Appreciation Society’s Tea Victoria’s annual event featuring one of our favourite hot beverages in different flavours from across the world.

Find your next favourite kind of drink to suit any mood, by tasting small batch teas prepared at the Tea Market Jaga Silk, Gathering Place Trading, Level Ground Trading, Pendray Inn and Tea House, Cultured Kombucha and many more.

Tea showcased at the festival are sourced right from the farm of origin in Japan, China, India, South Africa and more.

The festival will also feature a symposium featuring talks on “Adjusting Brewing Parameters for Clonals Versus Heritage Cultivars”, “Utilizing Foraged Herbs in Jun”, “Tea Activism”, “Experiments on Fireweed Borrowing From Tea Making techniques”, “Storage Abuse: How to Make Maccha Taste Bad”, among others.

Attendants are encouraged to bring their own teacups for tasting but those who don’t can also purchase a mini mason jar for $2 at the event.
