Another event has announced postponement of their event in Victoria in light of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

James Taylor and his All-Star Band with special guest Bonnie Raitt were scheduled to perform live in Victoria on April 14th at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

In a statement on Monday, Select Your Tickets said all tickets for the event will be valid and transferred to the new date once it has been announced. Ticket holders will receive further details once a new date is announced.

James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt joined forces for a cross-Canada tour – their first performance was to kick off in Victoria.

The two musicians have been friends for decades, and their highly anticipated tour will stretch from Victoria all the way to Newfoundland and Labrador.

Raitt and her band will open the evening, after which Taylor and his band will play.

Taylor has sold over 100 million albums over the course of his illustrious career, and in 2015 was presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honour.

One year later, in December 2016, Taylor received the Kennedy Center Honors, which are presented annually to individuals who have enriched American culture by distinguished achievement in the performing arts.

Raitt released her newest album “Dig in Deep” in 2016, the latest musical endeavour from the ten-time Grammy winner. She has been listed by Rolling Stone as one of the “100 Greatest Singers of All Time” and “100 Greatest Guitar Players of All Time,” and she has been a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 2000.

Tickets for the concert go on sale on December 6th at 10:00 a.m. local time, and each ticket comes with a CD copy or digital download of James Taylor’s forthcoming album.
