New seasonal flight service between Victoria and Tofino to launch May 9th

Travellers looking to explore Vancouver Island will soon have another transportation option.

In an announcement on Thursday, Pacific Coastal Airlines stated they will be launching a new non-stop flight service between Victoria and Tofino on May 9th.

This 40-minute flight will be operating every Saturday departing from Victoria at 11:30 a.m., and then returning from Tofino at 12:40 p.m.

The airline is offering this route as a seasonal service that will only operate between May 9th and October 17th, inclusive.

“We are thrilled to introduce this new service,” said Johnathan Richardson, Pacific Coastal’s Vice President of Commercial Service, in a statement.

“We first introduced service between Vancouver and Tofino in April, 2017 and we are proud to announce this expansion with the introduction of our new Victoria to Tofino flight.”

Passengers can now also book flights between Tofino and Kelowna with a stopover at Victoria International Airport.

Introductory fares between Victoria and Tofino will start at $109 one-way for each passenger, while passengers travelling one-way between Tofino and Kelowna will be charged $179, inclusive of fees, surcharges, and tax.

Travellers can start booking these flights by visiting www.pacificcoastal.com, contacting the airline’s Call Centre at 1-800-663-2872, or through their travel agent.
