It has been announced Thursday evening, that following a trip to the UK, Prime Minster Justin Trudeau’s wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau has tested positive for COVID-19.
Following medical recommendations after returning from her trip, Sophie was tested for the virus – and currently remains in isolation due to a positive result.
It’s reported that she is currently feeling well, taking the necessary recommendations and her symptoms are mild.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced this morning that he would proceed with self-isolation as a precaution – though he is in good health with no symptoms, he will remain in isolation for a planned period of 14 days at the recommendations of doctors.
The Prime Minister will continue to fully assume his duties, and will address Canadians tomorrow.
