Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of a Langford man, which happened in Saanich in September of 2018.
On September 29th, 2018, Saanich Police responded to the 3900-block of Carey Road for a reports of a man suffering life-threatening injuries as the result of an assault.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found 41-year-old Shawn Campbell severely beaten – he was transported to hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries five days later.
At the time of the incident, witnesses said the man was attacked with a hammer and that there were several attackers involved.
The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) took over the investigation and believed the attack and subsequent murder was targeted from the beginning.
On Friday, Nathan Monsour, 33, and Lee Hart, 38, were arrested and charged with second-degree murder of Campbell.
Both men are being held in custody for a court appearance in Victoria on Monday.
