West Shore RCMP have arrested 33-year-old Wesley Switzer after he was caught breaking into the Juan De Fuca Recreation Centre on Friday.

At around 12:45 p.m. on April 10th, a maintenance worker called police after finding the man, later identified as Switzer, inside the building smashing windows and damaging the property.

When the employee confronted him, Switzer threatened the burn the building down. Instead, he left the recreation centre and went across the street to Galaxy Motors located at 1772 Island Highway.
