COVID-19 in Context: News Coverage and News Literacy in Uncertain Times

The News Literacy Project and University of Rhode Island’s Metcalf Institute has been hosting host a series on challenges in science communication and the experiences of journalists working to cover the ever-changing pandemic.

Their upcoming webinar concerns navigating uncertainty and misinformation online.

Soil Health for the Backyard Gardener & Grow Your Own Food 101

Between sheltering in place and empty grocery store shelves, food access has been a growing issue during COVID-19. These workshops aim to teach beginners how to grow their own vegetables and how to create healthy soil to help these new plants thrive.

Birthing During Covid-19, What You Need to Know

The midst of a pandemic is an intimidating time to be pregnant. This recurring course will give you an idea of what giving birth could be like during COVID-19.

Climate Action Leadership: Lessons from COVID-19

This is the second instalment of Royal Roads University’s Leading in Extraordinary Times webinar series. Join in and watch experts discuss the significant changes we’re seeing in our environments due to global quarantine measures and what they could mean in the fight against climate change.
