Woman pulls up in stolen truck as West Shore RCMP are investigating another stolen vehicle

West Shore RCMP have recovered two stolen vehicles and made two arrests, after one of the owners reported seeing his pick-up truck being driven in Langford.

The truck owner who spotted his vehicle and told police that the stolen vehicle had been parked near Isabelle Avenue and Happy Valley Road.

When RCMP arrived on scene soon after, they watched as a woman pulled up next to the truck in another vehicle, which had also been reported stolen.

The pick-up truck was originally stolen out of West Shore area in March.

“The Crime Reduction Unit swooped in and arrested both suspects for possession of stolen property,” said Cpl. Fred Ritchie, West Shore RCMP crime reduction unit.

“The two stolen vehicles were recovered by police and the two suspects will be facing charges.”

West Shore RCMP reminds the public that stolen vehicles can be dangerous, as the suspects are often unpredictable, and thanked the complainant for not approaching the stolen vehicle and calling police right away.
