At the time, complaints about the man’s behaviour with children had been filed, prompting police to open an investigation into his conduct.

Central Saanich Police Chief Constable Les Sylven said his department had been in contact with government regulators, including Island Health, and was working to support the families involved.

On May 5th, Pan was charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, and three counts of invitation to sexual touching.

There are four alleged victims and the offences are said to have occurred between January 1st, 2017, and December 12th, 2019.

Pan was released from custody with conditions that he remain in Canada and report to a bail supervisor.

At this time, none of the allegations against him have been proven in court.
