Victoria Police are seeking two suspects in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.

According to Victoria Police, officers with their Strike Force unit seized multi-coloured branded drugs as they conducted an investigation into a stolen property and drug trafficking operation.

Police say that in mid-April, they received a tip from the public and began a drug trafficking investigation linked to a suite in a house in the 1100-block of Kings Road.

While the investigation was ongoing, two suspects — a man and a woman — who lived in the property moved to a multi-unit residential building in the 3200-block of Quadra Street.

Police continued their investigation at the new location, where the drug trafficking operation resumed after the move.

On April 30th, Strike Force officers, along with members from the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team and Saanich Police conducted a search warrant at the home and located a significant amount of drugs.

“Officers noted that the drug traffickers had colour-coded their drugs, essentially branding their product,” a VicPD release said.

The two residents were not inside the suite at the time the search warrant was executed.

In total, officers seized:

  • 600 grams of fentanyl in various unique colours,
  • 300 grams of methamphetamine,
  • 10 grams of psilocybin,
  • 30 grams of cocaine,
  • approximately $10,000 cash,
  • shotgun ammunition and two imitation firearms,
  • stolen property including suspected stolen jewelry, clothing with price and security tags still affixed, and small kitchen appliances.

In addition, significant quantities of cutting agents, cooking supplies, dyes and drying equipment were also seized.

VicPD say they are still looking for the man and woman who are believed to be hiding from officers, and warrants for their arrest are currently being sought.

Police are recommending four charges against both individuals from Victoria. The man is facing additional charge for violating court-ordered conditions.

A description of the suspects was not released.

The Strike Force relies on tips from the public, and anyone who has information about property crime offenders in the community is asked to call the Strike Force line directly at (250) 995-7260.
