Police searching for 13-year-old girl who went missing in Nanaimo

Nanaimo RCMP are seeking public assistance in their search for missing teen, Ayla Natalie Johnson.

The 13-year-old girl was reported missing on Wednesday June 24, after leaving home on June 23 with a friend.

Since then, her phone has been turned off and her whereabouts are unknown.

According to police, Johnson has been “recently been making some poor decisions” causing her family and support network to be concerned about her well being.

The young teen is described is an Indigenous girl standing 5’6″ tall, weighing 110 lbs, with black hair dyed with orange streaks.

She was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, dark shorts, black Nike shoes, a blue hat, and carrying a blue/white fanny pack.

Anyone with information on Johnson’s whereabouts is asked to contact Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
