VicPD say they have arrested a suspect in a stabbing incident yesterday afternoon that left a man with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Police were called just before 4:30 p.m. yesterday about a stabbing in the 2900-block of Douglas St.
Officers arrived and found a male victim who had been given medical attention, after which he was transported to hospital.
A female suspect was identified from video surveillance and the woman was believed to be Sidney.
VicPD coordinated with Sidney RCMP, who then located and arrested the suspect and transported her to VicPD cells.
During this time, police say that the victim left hospital against medical advice while suffering from potentially life-threatening injuries.
Officers were able to locate the victim and took him into protective custody, before returning him to hospital where he currently remains.
The suspect has been held for charges including aggravated assault.
