5 things to do in and around in Victoria today, Tuesday July 28th

Happy Tuesday!

From a VIP screening of Mamma Mia to a virtual road trip to the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre in Burnaby, here are five things to do today.

As you head out to activities and events, please follow the restrictions and guidelines that these businesses require to keep their employees and patrons safe during the pandemic.

As always, wash your hands, wear masks, practice physical distancing, and stay home if you feel sick or show symptoms!

Without further ado, here are five things to do today, Tuesday, July 28th:

VIP Summer Screenings at Oak Bay Beach Hotel

The Oak Bay Beach Hotel has launched its new VIP Summer Screenings. A combination of Classic films and new releases will be presented in their David Foster Foundation Theatre each Tuesday evening throughout the summer.

Mamma Mia will feature tonight.

Each ticket includes complimentary parking, one glass of sparkling wine, a bottle of water, local charcuterie board and pre-packed theatre snacks such as popcorn and licorice. Tickets are $40 each and physical distancing measures are in place.

  • When: Doors open at 7:40 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m.

Britpop Tuesday

Enjoy all the wonders of British Pop music by Brett Smith-Daniels at the Bard & Banker this Tuesday! There will be $2 shuck oysters and $7 Guinness on special.

Hip Hop Outside Summer Sweats

Deepen your groove as you explore techniques and choreography while improving your cardio, flexibility, and strength. Get all the wild, sexy, pumped up moves of the Hip Hop world while focusing on two things: having fun and getting sweaty! Wear runners, layers, and bring water. RBCM@Home: Nikkei National Museum

Take a virtual road trip to the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre in Burnaby, BC. Culture, Education & Programs Coordinator Carolyn Nakagawa will share highlights and what’s new.

Live Music Happy Hour at Pagliacci’s Restaurant

Pagliacci’s will be hosting live bands daily outside on their patio, with no cover and there will be drink specials.
