5 things to do in and around in Victoria today, Wednesday July 29th

You’ve made it halfway through the week! Why not treat yourself to an event? Here are five things to do in and around Victoria today.

As you head out to activities and events, please follow the restrictions and guidelines that these businesses require to keep their employees and patrons safe during the pandemic.

As always, wash your hands, wear masks, practice physical distancing, and stay home if you feel sick or show symptoms!

Without further ado, here are five things to do today, Wednesday, July 29:

Twilight Yoga hosted by Third Space Movement

Introducing Community Yoga in the Fort Common! Join Third Space Movement co-owners Katie Thacker and Alex Boyer Wednesday evenings as the sun sets. Bring your own water, and mat to the Common and get flexible. Spaces will be marked out for participants to distance six feet apart.

  • When: 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Where:  Fort Common, 1017 Blanshard Street – access through gate beside Be Love restaurant

House Trivia at Yates

Weekly trivia hosted by Sixty Watt Trivia continues at Yates Street Taphouse Bar & Grill. Teams of eight or less compete in four rounds of trivia with awesome prizes for the winners. Smaller teams get free points each round to keep things competitive.

  • When: Starts at 7:30 p.m.

Hip Hop Outside Summer Sweats

Deepen your groove as you explore techniques and choreography while improving your cardio, flexibility, and strength. Get all the wild, sexy, pumped up moves of the Hip Hop world while focusing on two things: having fun and getting sweaty! Wear runners, layers, and bring water. Victoria Poetry Project hosts Tongues of Fire Ft. Audrey Lane

The Victoria Poetry Project’s open mic night, Tongues of Fire, will feature Audrey Lane via Zoom. Lane is a poet, spoken word artist, film director, and outdoor educator based in Treaty 7 land, Calgary AB. Her work is rooted in wild, both outside and in.

  • When: 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Where: Zoom.

Live Music Happy Hour at Pagliacci’s Restaurant

Pagliacci’s will be hosting live bands daily outside on their patio, with no cover and there will be drink specials.
