A new adventure sports company is opening a “battle arena” in the Westshore that will feature Nerf battles, laser tag, combat archery and other family friendly mock combat games.

The IRL Battle Arena will be taking bookings starting August 1 for groups of up to 24 players who want to battle it out with soft foam projectiles.

Games will take place indoors at the Pacific FC Island Training Center indoor professional soccer field at 2888 Kettle Lake Drive in Goldstream.

The company says they are implementing COVID-19 safety protocols including keeping opposing teams six feet apart and cleaning and sanitizing gear.

“Our games allow players to get vigorous exercise and socialization, while maintaining safe physical distances in wide-open spaces,” IRL Battle Arena said in a statement.

“We know processes and protocols in response to COVID-19 have been (and will likely remain) fluid. We will adjust our policies and plans as needed to meet Worksafe BC and Public Health recommendations.”

The company adds that their working slogan is “slay the COVID cabin fever.”

Information on the IRL Battle Arena’s different games and booking details can be found online at irlbattlearena.com.
