Victoria Police are searching for witnesses after a pedestrian died in a fatal vehicle collision near downtown Victoria.
At around 9 a.m. on Wednesday July 15, officers responded to reports of a collision between a female pedestrian and a vehicle in the 700-block of Hillside Ave.
According to police, a witness in the vicinity provided medical aid to the woman who was seriously injured, until firefighters and paramedics arrived.
She was transported to hospital where she succumbed to her life-threatening injuries.
Officers are now looking for witnesses to the collision. Anyone who saw the crash is asked to contact VicPD at (250) 995-7654 and select option 1 for the report desk.
