Victoria Police searching for “high risk” missing 25-year-old man

Victoria Police are seeking public assistance in their search for missing man Tanner Afseth.

The 25-year-old was last seen in Shawnigan Lake on July 26, and investigators believe he may be in the Victoria area.

Police say Afseth is driving a grey 2005 Nissan Altima with Saskatchewan licence plate number 855 IGS, and is accompanied by his dog, a tri-coloured Bernedoodle (cross between a Bernese mountain dog and a poodle) named ‘Soma’.

According to VicPD, patrol officers are working to locate him to make sure he is safe.

Afseth is described as a slim Caucasian man standing 6’4″ tall, weighing around 175 lbs, and has thinning brown hair and a beard that is trimmed short.

He also has blue eyes and a scar on his right ankle, and was last seen wearing a multi-coloured bandana on his head.

Anyone who sees Afseth is asked to call 911.
