Believe it or not, it is the last day of summer for 2020, here are five things to do to enjoy it!
As you head out to activities and events, please follow the restrictions and guidelines that these businesses require to keep their employees and patrons safe during the pandemic.
As always, wash your hands, wear masks, practice physical distancing, and stay home if you feel sick or show symptoms!
Without further ado, here are five things to do today, Monday September 21st:
Child-Friendly Contemplative Walk at Thetis Lake
Meet at the small (dog) beach for a nature walk with stops to give thanks, meditate, listen, and explore. All at a child-friendly pace. Be sure to bring a snack.

Hazpro Hiring Fair
Multiple positions opened including Haztechs, labours, handyman, and general construction workers. Positions range from entry-level to site foreman. $19.00 – $30.00 to start.
Hazpro Environmental is locally owned and family run business, specializing in asbestos and mould removal. They also specialize in abatement, remediation and removal of other hazardous materials from homes, commercial businesses, hospitals, schools, and government buildings. Drop off your resume in person or apply through Facebook.

Peace Night
You’re invited to this year’s Peace Night! It is an all-ages event for JBers, families, and alumni, that will feature updates about the upcoming year and a kindness-themed activity.
To attend, you will need to fill out the Registration and Safety Form. Send them an email (jb@cisvvictoria.ca) for access to the form.

Monday Night Stay Up and Craft
Join Sue’s Paper Creations for some late-night crafting. She will also tell you about some new class options running.

Sexualized Violence Awareness Week: Let’s Talk About Consent Online
From September 21-25, join in for a week of online events, including amazing speakers and engaging workshops, that will give you practical tools to prevent sexualized violence both online and in-person.
