RBCM @ Home Kids: Amazing Armoured Dinosaurs

Ankylosaurs are called armoured dinosaurs because they have bony plates and spikes in their skin. Join the Royal BC Museum in a remote experience with curator of palaeontology, Dr. Victoria Arbour, to learn how to make our own ankylosaurs out of play-doh, pasta, beads and buttons. During this session, you’ll learn how animals use armour to protect themselves. What you’ll need: play-doh, clay or homemade salt dough (1 cup flour, 1/2 cup salt, 1/2 cup water); small dry pasta shapes (shells, orzo, stars, macaroni or bowties work great; and small beads or buttons.
